CLOTHE Creative is a freelance Patternmaking service for the Fashion Industry, founded by Ela Marita Avitabile.  Drawing on 18+ years of industry experience,  Ela uses a high level of technical knowledge and creative flair to interpret designs into industry ready patterns.  She is passionate about her work and loves finding new ways to innovate and create for clients.

Growing up in a tiny town, there were endless hours to get lost in creative projects.  She found an intense passion for working with textiles from a young age.  Her hands were always busy, and mind free to explore in flow - it was addictive.  

Entrepreneurial and curious, she graduated from Fashion School eager to learn more. She worked at a variety of brands and refined her skills in Patternmaking.  The industry can be fast paced, which is exciting at times, but it gradually became apparent that this was no longer a sustainable model for herself - or the planet!  

More recently, Ela has returned to her roots of slow living and intentional making.  She hopes to use her skills to make a meaningful contribution to the way we wear our clothes in the future.  

CLOTHE Sew at Home was born out of Ela’s passion to create, and the need to shift the way we consume fashion. She hopes to build a collection of well designed sewing patterns. Empowering others with tools and knowledge to find joy in making their own handmade wardrobe.
